Lewis: The Mind Has Mountains
Lucy appeared in Series 5 Episode 3 of the ITV crime drama Lewis, entitled The Mind Has Mountains, guest starring as Bethan Vickery.
In The Mind Has Mountains Lewis and Hathaway investigate when a young student is found dead after undertaking trials for a new anti-depressant drug. The pair are unsure whether her death is linked to the drug or if there are other, more sinister reasons. When they question the college’s enigmatic psychiatric professor Dr Alex Gansa, he proves evasive and uncooperative. The detectives wonder whether Amy’s death might be a suicide, but that idea is dropped when a second student is found dead.
It soon becomes clear that all of the trial participants are operating under the influence of the experimental drug and that, for them, the lines between love, obsession and madness have become impossibly blurred. As the body count rises, Lewis and Hathaway uncover a web of lies, jealousy and insanity – to which Lewis himself could fall victim.
